Text of the provision

Art. 773. If, there being two or more donations, the disposable portion is not sufficient to cover all of them, those of the more recent date shall be suppressed or reduced with regard to the excess.

What this article means

When someone has made several donations and the disposable portion cannot cover them all, the more recent ones are suppressed or reduced first. Earlier gifts are protected; the latest gift bears the shortfall.
