Privacy Notice

How this website collects, uses and protects personal data, and what you can require of us under the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Last updated 12 August 2026.

Who is responsible for your data

Vivas & Nobles Law Office is the personal information controller for this website. We are at The Garden Heights Condominium, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines, and you can reach us on 0995-433-5550 or by email at vivasnobles@gmail.com.

This notice covers the website. Information you give us after we have agreed to act for you is governed by the separate duty of confidentiality a lawyer owes a client, which is stricter than anything set out here and is not waived by this notice.

What we collect, and when

If you only read the site

We do not ask you for anything, and we do not require an account. Our analytics and advertising tags (see below) record the usual technical information a website receives: the pages you view, the broad category of page, the language of the page, the type of device and browser, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and whether you arrived from a search result, an advertisement or another site.

If you send us an enquiry

Our consultation form asks for your name and email address, and optionally a phone number, where you are based and how you prefer to be contacted. You choose a matter type and write a short description of your situation. Our server also records the IP address and browser identifier the message was sent from and the page you came from, which we use to stop automated spam and for no other purpose.

We ask you not to include confidential or sensitive details in that first message. Please tell us enough to understand the matter and no more. Sending the form does not make us your lawyers, and until we have run a conflict check and both agreed to proceed, what you send is not protected by lawyer–client privilege.

Why we may lawfully hold it

For enquiries we rely on your consent, which you give with the tick box on the form and may withdraw at any time, and on the steps taken at your request before entering into a professional engagement. For analytics and advertising measurement we rely on our legitimate interests in understanding which parts of this site are useful and whether our advertising works — interests we have weighed against your privacy, which is why the analytics data we hold is aggregated and carries no name, email or account.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. These set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser, and send Google information about your visit. We use them to see which pages help people, which language readers prefer, and whether an advertisement led to a genuine enquiry.

We do not send Google your name, your email address or the contents of your message. When you submit the form we record only that an enquiry happened and the matter type you selected. Analytics data on this property is retained for fourteen months and then deleted automatically.

You can stop this at any time. Browsers let you block or delete cookies, Google publishes a browser add-on that disables Google Analytics entirely, and Google's own ad settings let you turn off personalised advertising. None of that affects your ability to read this site or to contact us — the phone number and email work without any of it.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is emailed to us and stored on our web host's server. That means Hostinger, who host this site, and Google, who carry the email and provide the analytics and advertising tools described above, process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for anyone else's marketing, and we do not disclose it to any third party except where a court, a lawful order or the Rules of Court require it.

Because those providers operate internationally, data may be processed outside the Philippines. We remain accountable for it under RA 10173 wherever it is processed.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for up to two years so that we can recognise a returning enquirer, check for conflicts, and answer any question about what was said. If we do act for you, the file is retained for the period required of lawyers for client records. Analytics data is deleted by Google after fourteen months. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored outside the publicly reachable part of the server and are not listed, linked or indexed anywhere. Access is limited to the lawyers of the firm. No system is perfectly secure, which is the practical reason we ask you not to send sensitive details until we are properly engaged.

Your rights under RA 10173

The Data Privacy Act gives you real and enforceable rights over your personal data. You may:

To exercise any of these, email vivasnobles@gmail.com with enough detail for us to find your record. We will respond within a reasonable period and will not charge you for a first request. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may take the matter to the National Privacy Commission, whose contact details are published at privacy.gov.ph.

Children

This site is intended for adults seeking legal assistance and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Where a matter concerns a minor — custody, support, adoption or a child in conflict with the law — please give only what is necessary to describe the situation, and leave the child's identifying details until we are engaged.

Changes to this notice

If we change how this site handles personal data we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting enquiries already sent to us will be notified to the people concerned by email.
