Text of the provision
Art. 561. One who recovers, according to law, possession unjustly lost, shall be deemed for all purposes which may redound to his benefit, to have enjoyed it without interruption.

What this article means
A person who lawfully recovers possession that was unjustly taken is treated, for every purpose that benefits them, as having possessed the thing without interruption throughout. The gap created by the wrongful taking is not held against them.
