What this article means

Beyond things that can be moved, the law also treats as personal property obligations and actions over movables or sums due, and shares of stock in companies — even a company that owns real estate. A shareholder owns personal property (the shares), not the corporation's land.

Compiled automatically from Supreme Court decisions published on LawPhil that expressly cite this article, most frequently cited first. A listing means the decision cites the provision — it is not a statement that the case is the leading authority, and it does not show whether a ruling has since been modified or abandoned.
