Art. 1573. The provisions of the preceding article with respect to the sale of animals shall in like manner be applicable to the sale of other things.

What this article means
The rule of the preceding article applies as well to the sale of other things sold together, not just animals.
The article immediately before this one sets out how a redhibitory defect — a hidden defect serious enough to affect the buyer's willingness to purchase, or the price he is willing to pay — is treated when several animals are sold together. This article simply widens that same treatment beyond animals: whenever the preceding rule would apply to a joint sale of animals, it applies in the same way to a joint sale of any other kind of goods, without the seller or buyer needing a separate rule for each type of property.
