Text of the provision
Art. 1195. Anything paid or delivered before the arrival of the period, the obligor being unaware of the period or believing that the obligation has become due and demandable, may be recovered, with the fruits and interests.

What this article means
Anything paid before the period arrives, by an obligor unaware of the period or believing the debt already due, may be recovered with fruits and interests. Mistaken early payment is not a waiver of the term.
