Art. 1160. Obligations derived from quasi-contracts shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 1, Title XVII, of this Book.

What this article means

Obligations from quasi-contracts (lawful, voluntary acts creating an obligation to avoid unjust enrichment) are governed by the Code's Title on quasi-contracts — principally negotiorum gestio (management of another's affairs) and solutio indebiti (payment of what is not due).
